Juvenal is a Roman name (he was a Roman satirical poet) and the name is commonly used in Latin countries, it not a misspelling of “juvenile” – I presume you meant this to refer to juvenile delinquent? Anyway, this is an oversight on your part.
Idiocracy…people taking normal, usual names/place names/celebrity names/adjectives/words from daily speech/colloquial words and trying to be “original” and “creative” by either giving it a little twist, spelling it different, turning it into a compound word/name, etc. Meh…I guess you could call it unusual.
These “unusual” naming conventions have been something that celebrities have been doing for years that has now become a fad when it hit the general population by storm.
I have a little girl named Fenway.
Wow, an eclectic list of baby names. So sad for the girls name Eh and Moo.
What’s interesting is the boy name “Audi”. Most people would assume it’s based on the car brand (Ow-dee) by a similar name, but I read it as being similar to Audie (Aw-dee)which is an old English name, and actually the name of America’s most highly decorated soldier, Audie Murphy. Just some food for thought. It may sound odd and trendy, but it’s been around far longer than any of us, and has some pretty interesting history attached to it.
I was going to name my little girl Journey….until too many people made stripper jokes
Ghey-toh Fab-yoo-lus !
My name,is common, but uniquely spelled. It’s pronounced BRIANNA, but spelled BRIYHANNA. Most people think that it is pronounced bry-ah-hannah, and so I kinda get a lot of crap about the unusual spelling of my name.
My name is Taniss, the only other Tannis i know is a boy in my town but he spells it with double ‘n’ instead of double ‘s’ does anyone know the true meaning of my name? My father chose it but he died when i was 2 so i never got to ask him what it ment and my mum dosnt remember where he got the name from, but she told me that it ment ‘goddess of beauty’. I do not belive this is the true meaning, my brothers name is Odin, his name is one of the Gods so i wonder if they have any connection? I have tried researching it loads of time’s but allways find diffrent meanings which are never spelled the same as mine. Can anbody help?
