It isn’t often I get serious around here, but the Backbone Zone project is worth taking a break from the usual content. The powerful campaign speaks directly to students, helping them to find—and use—their backbones. By placing them in schools and places where children hang out, they send messages that lead to conversations, making them comfortable with confronting gender-bullying, sexual harassment, and sexist and homophobic language when they see and hear it.
